Why do you need a website?

• For a Special Event

Well, if you're having a dinner party for eight of your close personal friends, you don't. You need a website when all of the information your guests or attendees need isn't on the invitation and there are more people invited than you want to call or email individually with the details.

A website is useful for conveying details of your event and links to other important information about your event.  For example, you're having a family reunion and you're expecting around 50 people to come for the weekend. You're having a cookout at a local state park on Saturday, with lots of friendly competitions & games. On Sunday you've reserved a banquet room so everyone can get together in a more formal setting.

Unless your invitation is pretty thick, you're going to need to provide information like: driving directions to the state park and the restaurant; what the family members need to bring on Saturday (food items? BYOB? swimsuits? chairs? ice?); what kind of games & competitions will be held at the park; links or info on local motels & hotels; information on local sights for the out-of-town family members - and the list goes on. All those details you've worked so hard to plan need to be published so everyone's informed.

And, you may need to collect information from the people you've invited. RSVPs can be done through the website, and you can also solicit volunteers to help out. You can also ask people to bring things (potato salad, beans, etc.) and keep track of who's bringing what.  And, after your event you can put all of the photos in one place - on your site - including the ones taken by your friends. A website is also pretty effective in getting your attendees or guests excited about coming to your event!  The possibilities are endless, and can be exactly tailored to your needs. Visit the Special Events section for more information.

• For your Club, Association, Organization (etc.)

The answer to this one is probably pretty obvious. It has to do with getting information about your entity out to the people who need to know it. A website can also bring you new members or sell your CDs. You can collect information about your members, you can create a directory of your members, you can even have a bulletin board for your members or fans to use. Again - what you need dictates what you get. Check out the Organizations* section under Website Design for the details.

• For your business or an e-store

If you're a small business owner, a website is an excellent way to keep your customers or clients informed of sales, discounts and other marketing strategies. You can showcase your products or talent and give potential customers an easy way to contact you. A website can also bring you new business! Check out the Small Business section for more information.

If you sell a lot on eBay or other auction sites, a store gives you a presence - a way for people to get to know you and your business. They can return to your store much more easily than they can find random items you're offering. Visit the E-commerce* section under Website Design for more information.

Why do you need event planning services?

The key to a successful event is in the details. The bigger the event the more details there are, and the more details there are the easier it is to overlook some of them.

Here's where I come in: I can help you keep track of everything. I can also alert you to things you hadn't thought about. I can help you come up with ideas. I can also help you with scheduling, ordering, to-do lists, setting & meeting deadlines - whatever you need me to do. And the best part is this: I can be as involved as you need me to be.

One of my goals as an event planner is to make sure that you get to enjoy your party or event instead of running around taking care of details.

Of course if you don't live in the Seattle metro area, I can't actually be there unless you'd like to pay travel costs. But I can be your go-to gal behind the scenes. See the Event Planning* section of this site for more information and a testimonial.

Why should you hire me?

First and foremost, I work for cheap.

Don't let that mislead you into thinking my site designs are junk (they're not) or that I don't take your event seriously. Each site I program is custom-tailored to your specifications. Your event is as important to me as it is to you.

Secondly, I work for cheap because I'm easily bored. So the more sites I get to program and events I get to help plan, the happier I am. "Variety is the spice of life," right?

And the third reason you should hire me is, well, read my mission statement below. That pretty much says it all.

Mission Statement

Honesty, integrity, fairness and professionalism are the cornerstones of my business. My clients must be satisfied with my services. As a website designer I will provide the highest quality for the lowest price. As an event planner I will ensure that my responsibilities are fully met. As an art dealer I will see to it that my artists receive full value for their original works and I will market those works as widely as possible.

*Note: My clients take priority over finishing this site. I apologize that all my info isn't up yet.
